Thermal Design Announces 2005 National Safety Award Winner James Steel Erection Recognized for Leadership in Fall Protection For Immediate Release (also available as a PDF) Madison, Nebraska—June 8, 2006—Thermal Design is pleased to award James Steel Erection from Lesterville, South Dakota with the 2005 National Simple Saver System® Safety Award. The announcement was made in June in honor of National Safety Month. The award considers contractors, erectors and installers that hold job site safety in high regard and go to great lengths to keep their employees aware and educated of the dangers at the workplace, specifically fall hazards. “Fall hazards are the leading cause of deaths and injuries in the construction industry and they have decided to use products that will help contractors, erectors and installers reduce their risk as well as becoming more productive installing the insulation,” said Dave Goepfert, president of Thermal Design. James Steel Erection complies with leading edge “through” fall protection with the use of Thermal Design's Simple Saver System. In 2005 they installed more than 100,000 square feet of the high in-place R-value insulation system that provides an OSHA-accepted method of fall protection. In addition, James Steel Erection was also recognized in Metal Construction News (May 2006 issue) for being one of the top metal builders in the country in 2005. The employees of James Steel benefit because they know they are installing a safe product that allows them to reduce their liability and increase the productivity on the job site as well as having satisfaction that they are building a quality building for that owner. Their customers reap the benefits by operating a building that represents the lowest cost of ownership. National Safety Month was established by the National Safety Council in 1996 and is designed to help increase awareness of safety and health risks as well as decrease the number of accidental injuries and deaths throughout the year. #### Thermal Design, a recognized innovator in the insulation industry, creates effective insulation solutions based on easy-to-install building systems, accessories and concepts.
