The Simple Saver System originated from a metal building contractor who found a way to insulate metal buildings without having to compress fiberglass over the purlins during installation. By installing below the purlins, the Simple Saver System uses the space available or creates additional space where necessary. Any thickness of fiberglass may be used without being compressed or degraded during installation. The Simple Saver System is engineered to perform many functions starting with filling the cavities to capacity. The purlins and girts are isolated from the conditioned interior air of the building. The interior air is commonly many degrees colder or warmer than the exterior air. Normally heat is easily transferred through the conductive metal purlins, however the Simple Saver encapsulates the metal purlins, typically stopping more than 90% of heat transference while controlling troublesome condensation. Isolating the purlins from the conditioned air will mean less work is required of the HVAC equipment and save energy as well.
Appropriate for many situations as an interior finish, the vapor barrier is extremely durable, highly light reflective and available in many colors. The resulting appearance is bright, clean and attractive. The Simple Saver may also act as an acoustic finish as it has a 75% - 85% sound absorption level. Unfaced insulation costs less than laminated insulation, creating the opportunity for builders to select from a wide choice of materials and R-values appropriate for them. High density insulation, cost offsets, and a unique installation invite builders to use much higher R-values, resulting in a much more efficient building, lower energy costs and a longer lasting building. Many contractors sell more insulation but continue to compress the insulation, rendering the extra almost worthless. Choose the Simple Saver System, which creates space for the insulation, and you'll know you're getting the highest quality system and performance for your building.
The Simple Saver System Lowers the Cost of Ownership Here’s an example: heating costs were calculated for a typical 100’ x 200’ x 20’ metal building that compares traditional over-the-purlin 6-inch insulation to the Simple Saver System® R-30 insulation system. The graph below shows the amount an owner will pay in principal and interest payments, energy costs and maintenance per month and per year. Long-tab insulation costs slightly less but will greatly increase the monthly and annual payment required of the building owner, reflecting poorly on the choice of insulation. Over-the-purlin insulation costs thousands of dollars more per year in ownership costs. When the facts are known, there is no comparison! The results show that even though good insulation costs more to purchase, the overall ownership costs—principal and interest payments, energy cost and maintenance costs—drop dramatically because of other savings. It costs less to own this building! This simple example represents the value that you can achieve by using the Simple Saver System. The Simple Saver System is also the safest system on the market with patented OSHA-accepted fall protection. Our goal is to reduce your building energy dependence and put the significant savings in your pocket. Call today to learn more about smart energy conservation using Simple Saver System®.
