Energycraft™ Natural Gas Heat Only Appliance
Maximum Efficiency
A high efficiency rating of 96% is obtained by our EnergyCraft™ Heating Appliances. They supply up to 109,000 BTU/hr for a comfortable inside environment. When combined with EnergyCraft™ Ceiling Fans, a more even temperature throughout the building is achieved simply removing the gradient. Heat rises causing a temperature and humidity gradient throughout the building. Simple removing the gradient with fans can save up to 15% of the annual heating fuel costs. A well insulated building loses little heat resulting in a uniform temperature throughout. Cooling costs are also reduced by the cooling effect of the fans moving the air.
Ease of Installation
EnergyCraft™ Heating Appliances are the easiest and most economical equipment for heating your building. Pre-assembled as a “ready -to-run” appliance, the heater is plugged into a power outlet, connected to the natural gas or propane fuel source, and it is ready to go. A condensate tube must be run into a suitable drain. The units are convertible between natural gas and propane, making these units ideal for clean temporary heat. No license is normally required for appliance installation, however some local governments may impose more stringent requirements. It is recommended that qualified installers be used for gas piping and building wiring installation. Check with applicable codes and regulations that apply to your project.
Horizontal Wall Mount Appliance
The EnergyCraft Horizontal Heating Appliances are typically installed approximately nine feet above the floor. They may be ducted locally to provide heat to multiple rooms. The wall mount design allows for easy outside air intake to meet fresh air requirements (fresh air kit available) and the elevated position gives wide air distribution into the space for rotation and circulation by the ceiling fans. A template is provided for quickly locating the PVC exhaust pipe hole. A washable reusable filter collects dust or specialized high-efficiency filters are available from local hardware stores. The appliance comes with the a thermostat and extra wire for relocating if desired.
Vertical Floor Mount Appliance
The EnergyCraft Vertical Heating Appliance is similar to the horizontal wall mount appliance except for orientation. Designed to sit on the floor against the exterior wall, this appliance takes up minimal floor space, is easy to service and comes “ready-to-run” after utility connections. Similar options as the Horizontal Appliance are also available for the Vertical Heating Appliances. All can be ducted locally.
Air Flow
Optional air intake kits are adjustable for up to 20% heater fan CFM for a healthy fresh air exchange. Powered exhaust fans must match intake air to balance the air pressure with the exterior. Proper design keeps humidity out of the roof and wall insulation cavities, and helps prevent condensation and needless energy loss.
Heat Pump
Heat pump models that operate even more efficiently in heating mode than straight resistance heating are also available. Heat pumps operate by capturing heat out of the exterior air and releasing it in the inside air. In the cooling mode, valves reverse the process and operate similar to conventional air conditioning appliances.
